...maybe I'll be more clearheaded and I'll be able to blog about nice things likewhat a grand time I had in Singapore while I was there and how I'd like to go back for another visit
or
how the rain, constant rain reminds me of what it's like to be a kid to not worry about your shoes getting wet or getting sick or that icky flood
or
how sometimes a smile can make you wonder what that mouth would taste like
or
how I miss pancakes and Milo and pears and blueberry cheesecake
or
how I finally found my own place.
Which I haven't done yet.

I have a million different things running in my mind today, most of them so fast they're just a blur. It's weird because I've decided to lie low on the thinking too much part and most of the time I do feel like my mind's been emptied and that nothing seems to fit anymore?Anyway. Some thoughts, twitter style:
There are Christmas lights and lanterns everywhere but weirdly enough I cannot feel the spirit of Christmas. Yet. Or maybe I'm just waiting for the 13th month pay and parties and booze and shopping and gifts. Yeeeep, there goes my Christmas spirit.
"Everyone wants to be found." I think I ought to watch Lost In Translation again.
Maybe I should have listened to the stylist when he said I ought to not darken my hair. But now it's dark and well, the world is still the same. So who cares, right.
I'd love to be in Tokyo right now. Or in some other exotic place, maybe a name I can't even pronounce. I miss being a stranger in a strange place.
There has to be something I want for Christmas. Oh yeah, that. But I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Wouldn't it be nice to walk in the rain?
I miss my Holga camera. Poor Boris, locked away in the darkness (and mess) of my closet. I ought to get rolls of film and take him out on a trip soon.
She's waiting like an iceberg
Waiting to change
But she's cold inside
She wants to be like the water
~ On The Other Side of The World lyrics, KT Tunstall
I should make a list of things I can give to my godchildren. Now if only I can remember their names...
I should catch up with my books. There are several of them waiting ignored and unread beside my bed. About A Boy should be a fascinating read.
Lamp posts are lonely. So are trash bins. One lights our way at night, the other gets the shit we don't want or need anymore. Both under appreciated. (Yes, I've always had a special affinity to inanimate objects like that, thank you.)

I really think I need to upgrade to a Flickr Pro Account, at the rate I'm Right now I'm listening to reggae, trying to relax and get that weekend feeling. If the previous weeks weren't so busy for me, this week loads of work started coming in for me (enough to keep me glued to my station in the next coming days) -- which is actually a good thing, because not being really busy makes me jittery and makes me think of real weird things like life, love, and why people are embarrassed to admit pooping in office toilets when it's perfectly normal for human beings to poop and that toilets were invented so that we can well, poop. Like normal human beings should.
Anyway.
Here are the things that managed to find a pretty place in the cluttered place that is my mind:
And doesn't it feel peculiar that everyone wants a little more?
so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?
~ Scar lyrics, Missy Higgins
I'm okay with scars. I've been getting some lately, some I can't remember how. But none where it really, or should, matter. Maybe I'm being too careful?
I love pancakes. I can eat them all day.
If you can make me laugh, you can get me to get myself in trouble. haha.
My sister (and my cousin) is coming to town again this weekend. It's the last day of the bar exams tomorrow, and I smell a party!
Give me the green light
~Green Light lyrics, John Legend
Don't ask. Okay, do ask. I'll answer if I like your question, haha.
Someday I'll go visit Japan and walk underneath the cherry blossoms!
Nice hands. Even nicer brains.
Should I move to Wordpress? I'm getting bored with the way my site is looking.
I should help promote the Reproductive Health Bill just like what Rom's doing. I believe in it. Also, it will make my mom (a former DOH Information Officer) proud. Maybe in my next post, heh.
The sound of this guy's laugh tickles my brains. I like it.
How much will my phone bill cost, now that there's no stopping me from calling or going online or just pestering no-show friends with messages like, "if you're not interested in joining me just pretend you didn't get this message I've gotten used to being snubbed (by you)." Yes. What a vile, this niki person is.
I'd love to have a Marvin Gaye album. Also, George Michael. And some Siouxsie & The Banshees (not really familiar but I heard one of their songs in the radio and liked it). And some Blondie (because Deborah Harris rocks!). And yes, some Erika Badu too.
"Sometimes I can't really tell if I'm lost or if God just rearranged the furniture."
~ quoting myself, from a conversation this afternoon
That's it for now folks. Enjoy your weekend!

Yesterday I gave my parents a call to let them know I'm going home tomorrow after almost a year of not showing my face in my hometown. My dad asked me if I still went to church every Sunday, and all I could do is hum an unintelligible answer because I haven't been to church except for the two or three occasions that I was with people who had to attend mass before continuing on with other things (like malling or shopping).
It's not that I dislike going to church (and I am not an atheist okay) -- let's just say I'm at a stage in my life where my relationship with the universe is funny. I have a liiiiittle suspicion that God originally planned for me to be an inanimate object, but that's just a tiny suspicion and I'm pretty sure the universe has something big in store for me yes?

I see everything.A conversation with an officemate this morning, after mooning over a delightful find in flickr:
...But most people are lazy. They never look at everything. They do what is called glancing, which is the same word for bumping off something and carrying on in almost the same direction, e.g., when a snooker ball glances off another snooker ball. And the information in their head is really simple. For example, if they are in the countryside, it might be
1. I am standing in a field that is full of grass.
2. There are some cows in the fields.
3. It is sunny with a few clouds.
4. There are some flowers in the grass.
5. There is a village in the distance.
6. There is a fence at the edge of the field and it has a gate in it.
And then they would stop noticing because they would be thinking something else like, "Oh it is very beautiful here," or "I'm worried that I might have left the gas cooker on," or "I wonder if Julie has given birth yet."
~ (Christopher Boone, from The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time)

Ailene, one of our best QAs, has decided to transfer back to the provinces last week. I was upset of course, but what can I do, people make decisions and when they do you can only watch them succeed, (or fail). But of course I'd want Ai to emerge triumphant in the decision she made, she's good, and she deserves it.She told me it was because of a "calling" (and Will Smith) -- and (even if I hadn't gone to church in months) I respect that. Yes, I bitched out for a while about losing good people in the team but hey, who wants to compete with a calling?
Would you guys believe that my very very first dream was to become a nun?
Nuns, they have a calling you know. When I was seven I waited and waited but didn't hear anything. Maybe I was just deaf, or, maybe the caller was speaking in another language? Like Greek. Or Checkozlovakian?
Anyway, my failed sisterhood plans notwithstanding, I wish you Ai all the best. Do continue praying for us will you? Because if God doesn't have a sense of humor I'd be in trouble now?
On a different note --
Did I mention that two days before leaving for Pagudpud, Juliet, Art and I bought ourselves pet rabbits?
Pet rabbit has no name yet. Help me name her?

For some reason this song is stuck in my head.Boston
Augustana
In the light of the sun, is there anyone? Oh it has begun...
Oh dear you look so lost, eyes are red and tears are shed,
This world you must've crossed... you said...
You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,
She said
You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,
Essential yet appealed, carry all your thoughts across
An open field,
When flowers gaze at you... they're not the only ones who cry
When they see you
You said...
You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,
She said
You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,
She said I think I'll go to Boston...
I think I'll start a new life,
I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,
I'll get out of California, I'm tired of the weather,
I think I'll get a lover and fly em out to Spain...
I think I'll go to Boston,
I think that I'm just tired
I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,
I hear it's nice in the Summer, some snow would be nice... oh yeah,
Boston... where no one knows my name... Where no one knows my name...
Where no one knows my name... Yeah Boston... Where no one knows my name.
Maybe it's the moving (back) to Manila. Maybe it's leaving what's familiar. Maybe it's starting over. Maybe it's not. Maybe it's just the holiday blues.
Maybe I just need to eat more solid food.
*end emo moment here*
P.S.
We're looking for a place for 6 (preferably in the Shaw area) suggestions, guys?

It's prolly just PMS, but I am loving this song at the moment. The Fear You Won't Fall
Joshua Radin
Digging a hole and the walls are caving in
Behind me air's getting thin but I'm trying
I'm breathing in
Come find me
It hasn't felt like this before
It hasn't felt like home before you
And I know it's easy to say but it's harder to feel
This way
And I miss you more than I should
Than I thought I could
Can't get my mind off of you
I know you're scared that I'll soon be over it
That's part of it all
Part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall
It hasn't felt like this before
It hasn't felt like home before you
And I know it's easy to say but it's harder to feel
This way
And I miss you more than I should than I thought I could
Can't get my mind off of you
And I hate the phone
But I wish you'd call
Thought being alone
Was better than was better than
And I know it's easy to say but it's harder to feel this way
And I miss you more than I should
Than I thought I could
Can't get my mind off of you
Can't get my mind off of you
And I know it's easy to say but it's harder to feel
This way
And I miss you more than I should
Than I thought I could
Can't get my mind off of you
I don't remember when the last time was, or if there is or was even a last time to remember. But I miss it.

I miss being away.
I long to be the stranger in a strange place.
A stranger with a holga camera and lots of time in hand. And no pontio pilato to put things on hold.
